Winter in Korea

This is already a long overdue post. :-)

I am so excited to share with you my winter experience in Korea. This trip was extra special because it's one of my firsts; first visa, first out of the country travel for the year, first winter experience, first time in Korea, first time to travel to have colds and fever due to the sub-zero weather, first out of the country travel with Gem (a.k.a Yoona) and Matet (a.k.a bff) from EAT Gurls group and colleagues like Melle, Dhei, Apol, Juday and QK.

My first time encounter with snow was a blast.  Thank God it was raining snow on our first day (one way of welcoming us).  It was really cold even though I had five layered pieces of clothing already. On our first day, the temperature was -8 degrees, it was freezing cold.....

I will share with you on how did we come up with this travel, why and when did we start, and everything in between.  But let us check first the seasons in Korea.  So Korea has four distinct seasons; Winter  - December to February , Spring - March to May, Summer - June to August, Autumn - September to November.

It all started when Melle, my colleague from Engagement asked me if I wanted to join them to Korea. The offer was so tempting that I can't resist (haha), the mode of payment was quite good, 21K for 10 months. All we need to do was to form 10 people in a group so we can avail the agency's promo so I asked my friends Gem and Matet to join in the tour.  We started paying monthly January-October of last year for 2.1K per month, not bad.  And yep, that's the start of our one-year in the making Korea trip :-)
The 21K package includes airfare, hotel accommodation plus transfers, and tour on Day 2. Plus they made all the arrangements including our visa processing.  It's hassle free so I grabbed the opportunity since it'll be my first time in Korea so I'm kinda clueless.  By the way, our travel agency was Discover Asia.

Date of Travel: January 21-24, 2017
